Terms of Service

By requesting services from IC Roadside & Key (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“Customer”) agree to the following Terms of Service. These terms apply to all roadside assistance, towing, mobile tire, and related services we provide.

1. Services

IC Roadside & Key provides mobile roadside assistance, towing, flat tire repair, tire installation, tire rotation, battery replacement, lockout assistance, winch and recovery, fuel delivery, and mobile mechanic services throughout Eastern Iowa.

All services are provided on a best-effort basis. Response times are estimates and may vary based on technician availability, traffic, weather, and distance. We will communicate estimated arrival times when you call.

2. Service Area

Our primary service area includes Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Cedar Rapids, Marion, Hiawatha, and surrounding communities in Eastern Iowa. We may decline service requests outside our standard service area or charge an additional fee for extended-distance dispatch. Contact us at (319) 963-2108 to confirm coverage for your location.

3. Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash and all major credit and debit cards. A price estimate will be provided before any service begins. The final invoice may vary from the initial estimate if the scope of work changes (e.g., additional parts required, extended labor, or conditions not apparent at time of dispatch).

Returned checks or declined payments may result in a service fee. We reserve the right to pursue collection of unpaid balances.

4. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your vehicle, location, and service needs
• Ensure the vehicle is accessible to our technician upon arrival
• Be present at the service location, or authorize a representative to approve and pay for service
• Disclose any known hazards (leaking fuel, unstable ground, etc.) that could affect technician safety

5. Liability Limitations

IC Roadside & Key will exercise reasonable care in performing all services. However, our liability is limited to the cost of the service rendered. We are not liable for:

• Pre-existing vehicle damage or mechanical conditions not caused by our service
• Consequential or incidental damages resulting from a delay in service
• Damage caused by inaccurate information provided by the Customer
• Acts of nature, road hazards, or other circumstances beyond our control

Towing services are provided at the Customer’s risk for vehicles with pre-existing body damage, structural issues, or non-standard modifications. We will note existing damage before towing begins.

6. Right to Refuse Service

IC Roadside & Key reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service to any Customer at our sole discretion, including (but not limited to) situations involving unsafe conditions, abusive behavior toward our technicians, fraudulent payment, or requests outside our service capabilities.

7. Service Warranty

We stand behind our work. If a service we performed fails within 30 days due to our workmanship (not external causes), contact us and we will remedy the issue at no additional labor charge. This warranty does not cover parts, tires, or components supplied by the Customer.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa. Any disputes shall be resolved in Johnson County, Iowa courts. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
